The Reception of the 51st National Day of Malaysia
The Embassy of Malaysia Belgrade organized the 51st National Day Reception on Tuesday, 2 September 2008. The event was held in the compounds of the Embassy, situated in the diplomatic enclave in Senjak, Belgrade. Some 400 invited guests from the Diplomatic Corp, business community, governmental agencies, attended the two-hour reception.
The evening started with the receiving of guest by both the Ambassador of Malaysia, H.E Dato’ Saw Ching Hong and Madame Datin Jenny Saw. The guests were then entertained with a 30 minutes cultural show performed by the Embassy of Malaysia Cultural troupe. The troupe performed a series of traditional Malaysian dances, such as Embun Sosek, Wau Bulan and Joget Serampang Laut. Guests attending the reception were then served with a selection of popular Malaysian cuisines, such as mee goreng, kuih batik, keropok and many more.
