On 14 January 2025, the Embassy of Malaysia visited the Scolio Centre of Serbia in Novi Sad. This visit was made at the invitation of Dr. Nicola Jevtic, the owner of the physiotherapist centre with extensive experience in scoliosis treatment. He has a longstanding connection with Malaysia, having travelled there previously to collaborate with a private physiotherapy practice.
Last year, the Embassy facilitated a professional linkage between Dr. Nicola and two doctors from the University of Malaya during their visit to Serbia. As a result, in November 2024, Dr. Nicola collaborated with the University of Malaya to organize a workshop aimed at raising awareness about these alternative treatments. The workshop brought together medical doctors, physiotherapists, and other practitioners to explore innovative approaches to scoliosis management.
