On Monday, 24 June 2024, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Malaysia and her team visited the Home for the Visually Impaired “Zbrinjavanje” in Pančevo and were received by Mr. Miloš Đorđević, Acting Director of the Home, Mrs. Danijela Jović, Head Nurse, and Mrs. Marina Vladisavljević, Social Worker. During the visit, the Embassy’s representatives were given a tour with an insightful view of the Home’s daily operations. With its 60 permanently employed staff providing housing, food and care, as well as medical and social assistance to 110 tenants, the Home for the Visually Impaired “Zbrinjavanje” is the only institution of its kind in Serbia.
In view of the Embassy’s long-standing relations with the Home since 2008, when the Embassy assisted with the construction of the Home’s new housing units, the two sides explored the potential for continuing their successful cooperation in the future as well.
