Marriage Registration

 

1. Thai Marriage Certificate (Kor. Ror. 3) translated to English and certified both by Legalization Division, Department of Consular Affairs, Thai MFA;

2. Thai Birth Certificate translated to English and certified both by Legalization Division, Department of Consular Affairs, Thai MFA;

3. Malaysian passport and IC;   

4. Thai passport and ID card;

5. Photocopy identity card of 2 Malaysian witnesses;

6. Couple’s recent white background passport sized photograph;

7. JPN.KC 06 form to fill at Embassy; and

8. Registration fee: 212 THB

Late registration fee: RM 100 for the first year and RM 50 for each year until present.

*Note:

- Couple must present upon application and collection /sign date

- Late penalty will be charge after register with Embassy after 6 months marriage under Thai law.

- The mentioned above documents must submit Original and 2 photocopies each Other Nationality Certificate translated to English (if its original is not in English) and at the photocopy of Birth certificate by Legalization Consular Division from their Embassy in Thailand. 

 

Child Registration

 

1. Thai Birth Certificate translated to English and certified both at the English translation and at the photocopy of Thai Birth Certificate   by Legalization Division, Department of Consular Affairs, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.

- (Do 2 photocopies after done the certified)

- (Should you have your name and surname changed, kindly bring all certificates to be translated and certified) 

2. Malaysian Marriage Certificate registered from JPN or Malaysian Mission Overseas before born.

3. Parents Birth Certificate. All Non-Malaysian Birth Certificate must translate to English and Certified (both translation and at the photocopy of Original Certificate) by Legalization Division, Department of Consular Affairs, Thai MFA or Consular Representative in Thailand (for non-Thai mother) (Do 2 photocopies after done the certified)

Malaysian Father – Original Malaysian Birth Certificate and two copies

Thai Mother – Original Birth Certificate with English translation and certified by MFA

Foreign Mother (non-Thai/Malaysian) –Original Birth Certificate with English translation and certified by your Embassy.

Parents’ passport and IC

Child’s recent white background passport sized photograph

(Focus on child’s face and eyes open)

Registration fee: 312 THB

Processing Time: 3 working days

 

*Note

- Other Nationality Birth Certificate translated to English (if its original is not in English) and at the photocopy of Birth certificate by Legalization Consular Division from their Embassy in Thailand. 

- Parents and child must present upon application.

- Couple must have legal Malaysian Marriage Certificate before child born and do the registration of child birth below 12 months. Embassy cannot issue Birth Certificate if Child age over 1 year old on the registration day.
