H.E. Adlan Mohd Shaffieq, Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to the Republic of Türkiye attended the naming and launching ceremony of the Littoral Mission Ship Batch-2 (LMSB2) by the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, as the Royal Sponsor at the Istanbul Shipyard on 7 June 2026. The Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, as the captain-in-chief of the Royal Malaysian Navy, also graced the ceremony of the LMSB2. As the vessel prepare to serve at sea, it stands as a testament to successful collaboration, knowledge exchange and the unwavering commitment of both countries to strengthen strategic cooperation in the field of defence.
