In commemoration of the ill-fated passengers of the Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 that was shot down and crashed in the eastern Ukraine on 17 July 2014, a Condolence Book was opened in the Malaysian Friendship and Trade Centre from Monday to Thursday, 21 - 24 July 2014.
Many Representatives from the Diplomatic Missions and Foreign Offices in Taipei came forward to sign the book and paid their respect to the MH17 passengers and families. Some of the Malaysian Airlines staff, Malaysian students who studied in Taiwan and a few Malaysian businessmen also took the opportunity to express their sincere sympathy and condolences on the sad tragedy.
