The Malaysian Friendship and Trade Centre, Taipei hosted a gathering for Malaysian professional residing in Taiwan in conjunction with the 53rd Hari Merdeka on 3 September 2010 at The Sherwood Taipei. Approximately 30 Malaysian invitees turned up at the gathering.
Mr. Lim You Rang, Acting President of MFTC in his speech encourages Malaysian professionals to share their experience and expertise with Malaysia through the Brain Gain Malaysia (BGM) and Returning Expert Programme to stimulate Malaysia’s next stage of growth and development.
BGM, managed by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), Malaysia promote collaborations between global researchers, scientists, engineers, and innovators (RSEI) particularly Malaysians residing abroad and Malaysian universities / research institutes / government agencies / industries. Besides being treated authentic Malaysian cuisines such as satay kuah kacang dengan nasi impit and roti jala dengan kari ayam prepared by PERWAKILAN Taipei, Invitees were furnished handouts on BGM to facilitate further consideration of the programme and sharing the news with other Malaysians in Taiwan.
