On 7 November 2019, the Embassy of Malaysia participated at the Third International “Parade of Nations” Charity Evening that was organised by ‘Fashion of Diplomacy in Ukraine’ magazine, at the Fairmont Grand Hotel, Kyiv.
The International Parade of Nations Charity Evening was launched in 2017 to mark the 100th anniversary of Ukrainian diplomacy and the Day of Diplomat of Ukraine. The charity event has several goals, in particular - to introduce the culture of other countries to Ukrainians and the culture of Ukraine to foreigners
The International charity event "Parade of Nations" was held for the third consecutive year with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of Ukraine. More than 40 embassies took part in the event.
At the colourful event, the Embassy’s staff displayed Baju Kebaya Nyoya with traditional embroideries, modern kebaya pendek, Malaysian batik sarungs with intricate motives, Baju Melayu and kain sampin songket.
The funds collected through this charity event would be distributed to organisation for caring of children with special physical, psychological, intellectual developmental needs.
