AMBASSADOR CHUAH BRIEFS 40 JOURNALISTS OF ODESSA ON MALAYSIA-UKRAINE RELATIONS

 

 

 

During the Working Visit to Odessa on 2 March 2012, H.E. Mr. Chuah Teong Ban, Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine was invited to officiate a Photo Exhibition put up by journalists from Odessa after their visit to Malaysia in October 2011. The exhibition entitled “Malaysia Through the Eyes of Ukrainian Journalist” was held in a cozy traditional Ukrainian restaurant “KLARABARA” which specially prepared some Malaysian cuisines for this occasion.

 

After the simple ceremony, H.E. Ambassador Chuah was invited by the journalists covering the event for a press conference. There were about 40 journalists present ranging from printed media to electronic medium, including those from the local radio and television broadcasting stations.

 

H.E. Ambassador Chuah briefed them on the status of bilateral relations between Malaysia and Ukraine and his future priorities to further strengthen the ties for mutual benefit. Also participating at the press conference were Prof. Aryayev of Odessa National Medical University, who gave an overview status of the bilateral medical studies cooperation and Mrs. Marina Kocherzhenko, Director General of the Impala Travel, who took her initiatives to organize the visit by journalists from Odessa to Malaysia in October 2012.
