Ambassador chuah calls on rector of kyiv national Taras shevchenko university H.E. Mr. Chuah Teong Ban, Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine paid a courtesy call on Prof. Leonid Gubernskiy, Rector of the prestigious Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University on 23 May 2012. Accompanying H.E. Ambassador Chuah were senior officials from Asia Europe Institute (AEI) at the University of Malaya. During the call, H.E. Ambassador Chuah discussed the possibility of cooperation between the Ukrainian University and University of Malaya such as closer exchange of faculty members and students, research collaboration, joint publications and joint academic programmes. A copy of the draft Memorandum of Understanding on such collaboration between the two universities was extended to the Malaysian delegation for further consideration. 
Ambassador Chuah and AEI delegation were also briefed by Dr. Petro Bekh, Vice Rector of the University and Dr. Valeriy Kopeika, Director of Institute of Foreign Relations on the historical profile and organizational structure, faculty members and various courses offered by the University. The delegation toured the various facilities of the University, Senate Council, conference hall and museum.
