On 16 October 2013, at the invitation of Mr. Pavlo Sheremeta, President of the world-class academic institution, Kyiv School of Economics (KSE), H.E. Chuah Teong Ban, Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine visited KSE and its faculties. During the visit, he was given the opportunity to join the macroeconomic class presentation of the Master students on a case study pertaining to Malaysia’s economic success story. At the end of the presentation, H.E. Ambassador Chuah discussed and shared with the students the rational of Malaysia’s economic policy, the success story in overcoming the 1997/98 Asian Financial crisis using home-grown strategies as well as the ongoing continuous transformation exercise to make Malaysia’s New Economic Model more competitive globally. He further emphasized on the various on-going efforts and programmes to take Malaysia to the next level through the Government Transformation Programme (GTP) and Economic Transformation Programme (ETP).
