Ambassador Chuah Teong Ban Meets Youth Diplomatic Initiative Members
As part of programmes undertaken by the Embassy of Malaysia in Ukraine to promote public diplomacy of Malaysia, H.E. Ambassador Chuah Teong Ban spent an evening interacting and had discussion with members of Youth Diplomatic Initiatives (YDI) of Ukraine on 10 October 2011 at the Embassy. The members of YDI comprised graduates , postgraduates and youths who are interested to know more about international relations and diplomacy.
During the discussion, Ambassador Chuah briefly presented the general information about Malaysia such as historical background, political systems, diversity in the social and cultural complexities of Malaysian multi-ethnic society, cuisnes, customs, traditions and the economic, social and foreign policies. The status and development on Malaysia-Ukraine relations were also discussed. At the end of the meeting, all YDI members expressed their desire to visit Malaysia to see and experience first hand the dynamisim in Malaysia and its unique unity in diversity.
