Ambassador chuah visits national institute for strategic studies under the AUSPICES of presidential office of ukraine H.E. Mr. Chuah Teong Ban, Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine visited the National Institute for Strategic Studies (NISS) on 25 May 2012 to learn more about the process of foreign policy formation undertaken in Ukraine. NISS is a leading national think tank set up to provide policy advice and consultancy for the President of Ukraine and his Administration in a wide strategic issues including foreign relations and economics.
H.E. Ambassador Chuah met Dr. Yaroslav Zhalilo, First Deputy Director of NISS and several senior heads of departments on foreign relations and social issues who briefed him about the trends of Ukrainian foreign policy direction particularly towards emerging economies in Asia such as Malaysia. H.E. Ambassador Chuah took the opportunity to share with NISS representatives about Malaysia’s experience in nation including the foreign policy stance, international business friendly policy and the various free and open economic models adopted by Malaysia. H.E. Ambassador Chuah further assured that Malaysia would be ready to share its success stories with Ukraine.
