In conjunction with the 47th Anniversary of ASEAN Day, three ASEAN Embassies in Kiev, namely Malaysia, Indonesia and Viet Nam co-hosted a bowling competition on 15 August 2014 to promote closer camaraderieas well as the community spirit among ASEAN nationals in Kiev.The competition was a success as many ASEAN nationals and families turned up to participate and cheered their favourite teams. It was a day of ASEAN solidarity and unity besides demonstrating the high level of sporting spirits.
Ambassador of Malaysia, Mr. Chuah Teong Ban was given the honour to make a short speech on behalf of the ASEAN Ambassadors in Ukraine in view that Malaysia will be assuming the ASEAN Chairmanship next year to coincide with the establishment of ASEAN Community. Ambassador Chuah touched on the significant and importance of forging closer relations at the people-to people level as well to carry out more people centered activities to live up with the expectations and aspirations of the ASEAN Community.
