Ukraine is a Christian nation with population of 46 million (many of them accepting Orthodox Christianity), while 2 million of which are Muslim. In Kiev alone, the capital city of Ukraine, there are 70,000 Muslim. On 19th March 2009, Ambassador Dato’ Abdullah Sani Omar and Datin Adeda had joined the celebration of Maulidur Rasul with Mufti of Ukraine Sheikh Ahmad Tamim and other local and foreign officials held at President Hotel, Kiev.
