Aiming to update the Ukrainian businesses about the business climate in Malaysia, H.E. Datuk Ayauf Bachi, Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine, made a presentation entitled “Doing Business in Malaysia” at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industries (UCCI) on 26 September 2016. UCCI is a leading Ukrainian organisation comprising the largest number of companies including major national importers and exporters.
During the presentation, H.E. Datuk Ayauf Bachi highlighted the key trends of businesses in Malaysia and potential areas for Malaysia – Ukraine cooperation. About 50 representatives of Ukrainian companies from various sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, and service industries who were present also had the opportunity to present their views on potential projects and ideas for business cooperation with Malaysia.
Prelude to the presentation, H.E. Datuk Ayauf Bachi had a bilateral meeting with Mr. Hennadiy Chizhykov, President of UCCI. Both sides discussed the possibility of organising a trade delegation to Malaysia some time next year, as a follow up to the official visit by H.E. Petro Poroshenko, President of Ukraine to Malaysia on 3-5 August 2016.
