On 4 April 2016, a group of 28 students aged between 14 and 15 years old from the Kyiv P. Tychyny School No 191 visited the Embassy of Malaysia in Kyiv to learn more about Malaysia and the Embassy. The students received a briefing and got acquainted with visual materials about Malaysia, its culture and traditions. The students were also informed about the functions of the Embassy and the duties as a Malaysian diplomat.
In the Q&A session, the Counsellor of the Embassy of Malaysia answered an array of interesting questions from the inquisitive students on topics ranging from animals that are native to Malaysia to the problems of vagrants in Malaysia. The visit programme to the Embassy was indeed a good way to engage with the younger segment of the community with the aim of raising awareness on Malaysia amongst Ukrainian school children.
