EMBASSY OF MALAYSIA PARTICIPATES IN KYIV CHARITY BAZAAR

The Perwakilan of the Embassy of Malaysia resumed its participation at the Annual Charity Bazaar organized by International Women’s Club in Kyiv held on 3 December 2011. More than 40 diplomatic missions and several Non-Governmental Organisations took part to showcase their various national and traditional cultural items, including handicrafts, cuisines, beverages and other native products.

The Malaysian booth, aptly named Malaysia Truly Asia, was adorned with bunga manga and other decorations to promote tourism and trade. In line with 1Malaysia, various Malaysian cuisines, such as curry puff, fried mee hoon and teh tarik were sold. To add colours to the Malaysian diversity, the Locally Recruited Staff gave a skillful demonstration of teh tarik preparation at the booth to the locals.

The Embassy also invited the local sole agent of Malaysian herbal health products (Gano Excel) to do their fair share of charity at the bazaar. For the first time, the Malaysian consumer health products were able to penetrate the Ukrainian market and have received encouraging and positive responses judging from the sales. All proceeds of Gano Excel’s sales at the booth went to charity under the name of the Embassy of Malaysia, making Malaysia among the top contributors at this bazaar.

The Embassy of Malaysia in Ukraine would like to take this opportunity to express our heartiest appreciation and sincere gratitude to Mr.Viktor Krasnyanskiy, Director General of Gano Excel Dnepr and his management team for their personal support and invaluable contribution to make the charity event a success.
