Nine prominent Ukrainian media were warmly welcomed and hosted by the Embassy of Malaysia in Ukraine on Monday, 23 December 2013, for an appreciation luncheon. The networking affair is aimed at maintaining friendly relations with the local Ukrainian journalists, whom had actively promoting the Malaysia-Ukraine relations, in the previous years.
The guests included correspondents of the popular national newspapers, representatives of news agencies, tourism press, as well as journalists of Islamic media with wide circulations in Ukraine.
During the lively occasion, apart from savouring traditional Malaysian dishes, H.E. Ambassador Chuah Teong Ban, briefed the media representatives on various topics including the current political and economic affairs of the Malaysia and Ukraine relations and its’ perspectives of future cooperation between the countries. The guests also discussed on the geopolitical situations of the region and its impact, in view of Ukraine’s current internal situation.
The media practitioners were also presented with the souvenir items of the Visit Malaysia Year 2014 (VMY 2014) campaigns at the end of the event.
