Three officials from the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia have undergone a Mi-17 Helicopter full flight simulator (FFS) training at the Avia Training Centre in Kremenchuk, Poltava region of Ukraine from 14 to 19 October 2018.
The week-long training exposed the officials of their actions as part of a helicopter crew in the scope of their functional duties of piloting a helicopter, air navigation, operations of onboard system and equipment, including during emergency situation.
H.E. Ambassador Dato’ Raja Reza Raja Zaib Shah and wife, Datin Roslina Ismail had the opportunity to visit the training centre on 17 October 2018 and tour the facilities. They were also briefed on the programmes and simulator training for flight personnel provided by Avia. The training centre is equipped with the most advanced technical training aids.
Bilateral relations between Malaysia and Ukraine has been revitalised in recent years, developing along a positive track as evident by the cooperation established between Malaysia’s Fire and Rescue Department and Ukraine’s Avia. Enhancing cooperation in training avenues apart from the conventional areas of collaboration will certainly play a significant role in further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
