H.E. Datuk Ayauf Bachi, Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine was invited as a guest speaker at Kyiv International University on 24 October 2017 wherein he spoke at length about Malaysia in the presence of approximately 100 students of the university. Topics covered included Malaysia’s history and culture, economic developments, bilateral relations with Ukraine and Malaysia as an education hub.
H.E. Ambassador’s lively briefing had evoked a great deal of participation from the audience during the Q&A session. They asked about the progress of the MH17 investigation, Malaysia-Ukraine cooperation in economy and education, Malaysia’s domestic policy, role of ASEAN in maintaining peace and the National Transformation 2050 (TN50) initiative.
The talk was part of the Embassy’s continuous efforts to engage with the Ukrainian community and exemplified Malaysia’s public diplomacy at its finest.
