HARI RAYA OPEN HOUSE AT AMBASSADOR'S RESIDENCE
H.E Ambassador Dato' Abdullah Sani Omar and Datin Adida Rahimah entertaining their guests
On Sunday, 20 September 2009, after the Eidul Fitri prayer at the mosque, H.E. Ambassador Dato' Abdullah Sani Omar and Datin Adeda Rahimah held a Hari Raya Open House at their Official Residence in Kiev. The event was attended by more than 50 people who include diplomats, Embassy officials, locally recruited staff and their family members.

The guests were served with Malaysian cuisine namely Nasi Impit with Rendang, Lemang, Nasi Bokhari, Kuih Raya (Malay Traditional Biscuits), Kuah Lodeh, Peanut Sauce, Cakes, Glutinous Rice with Banana filling and a few others.

The event was a good exposure to Malaysian culture and cuisine for diplomats of different countries and Ukrainians who had not attended such a reception. They now know what is meant by "Open House" culture, the costume worn and the type of dishes usually served for the event.
