To forge closer camaraderie and solidarity among citizens of ASEAN Member States in Ukraine, the Embassy of Malaysia joined hand with other ASEAN Embassies in Ukraine, namely the Embassy of Indonesia and the Embassy of Viet Nam to organize the inaugural ASEAN Family Day on 5 June 2015. The staff and family members of the Embassies as well as the ASEAN community in Ukraine attended the informal activities and were happy to have the opportunity to mingle, network and interact closely with one another. The Ambassadors of Indonesia, Malaysia, and Viet Nam also graced the event.
Besides the usual indulgence of ASEAN gastronomical experience, the participants also formed teams, comprising mixed ASEAN nationalities in line with the spirit of a common identity within the framework of ASEAN Community, to compete against one another in the various team building games. Participants from all ages, gender, social background and professions took part in the various activities.
It was a successful event in forging a common ASEAN identity and we were indeed proud to consider the ASEAN community in Ukraine one big happy family of ASEAN in Ukraine.
