INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL EXCHANGE NIGHT IN TERNOPIL CITY, UKRAINE, 28 MARCH 2009

The International Cultural Exchange Night was held in the Ternopil city, Ukraine on 28 March 2009.  The event was organized by the Malaysian Students Association of the Ternopil State Medical University.  Besides featuring Malaysian traditional dances such as Joget, Kuda Kepang, Ulik Mayang and some Indian and Chinese dances which are popular in Malaysia, other traditional dances of other countries such as Ukraine, Thailand, India, China, South Korea, Nigeria, Jamaica, Ghana, Cameroon, Syria and Egypt were also performed by Malaysian students and students from some of the countries.

 

Ambassador Dato’ Abdullah Sani Omar and Datin Adeda attended the event at the invitation of the Rector of the Ternopil State Medical University as to give moral support to the Malaysian students in their efforts to promote our Malaysian multi-ethnic and multi-culture to the local people of Ternopil.  The proceeds of the event was donated for charity to the Maliatko Orphanage.
