Background

The Driver provides reliable and safe driving services to the office staff, authorized visitors and guests, ensuring high accuracy of work. The Driver demonstrates a client-oriented approach, high sense of responsibility, courtesy, tact and the ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Summary of Key Functions:

• Provision of reliable and secure driving services; Ensure the safety of passengers and vehicles at all times when on duty;
• Proper use of vehicle, maintenance of the assigned vehicle;
• Must be able to maintain precise written transportation records;
• Maintain a record of daily visits in the vehicle log books as required per official versus official travel; ensure the mathematical accuracy of calculations;
• Ensures provision of reliable and secure driving services by:

 a) driving office vehicle for the transport of authorized personnel with possible over-time trips;

 b) driving office vehicle for the transport of authorized personnel;

c) meeting official personnel and visitors at the airport;

• Ensures cost-savings through proper use of vehicle through accurate maintenance of daily vehicle logs, provision of inputs to preparation of the vehicle maintenance plans and reports;
• Ensures proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle through timely minor repairs, arrangements for major repairs, timely changes of oil, check of tires, brakes, car washing, etc;
• Ensures availability of all the required documents/supplies including vehicle insurance, vehicle logs, office directory, map of the city/country, first aid kit, necessary spare parts;
• Ensures that all immediate actions required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accidents;
• To plan route and requirements by studying the schedule or ad-hoc requests by the office;
• Any other tasks as assigned by the Office from time to time.

Required Skills and Experience

Education: High School Degree.

Requirement: Valid Driver’s license and medical certificate.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of safe, incident free driving experience; safe driving record; knowledge of driving rules and regulations and skills in minor vehicle repair.

Language Requirements: Working knowledge of English and communication skills is required.

Other:

Being in good physical and emotional shape.

No smoking, without alcohol or drug addictions.
