The Embassy of Malaysia in Ukraine successfully hosted the 57th National Day of Malaysia on 29 October 2014 in a warm atmosphere. A wide range of guests attended, including the diplomatic community, senior government officials and representatives of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign affairs, political and business elites, media practioners and leaders of the non-governmental organizations.
H.E. Mr. Chuah Teong Ban, Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine in his welcoming remarks outlined the progress and achievement of the bilateral relations enjoyed by both countries. A special tribute and esteem respect were made to the Ukrainian government and Friends of Malaysia in the Ukraine for their strong and continuous collaborations with Malaysia all these years, especially during this difficult times following the downing of MH17 plane.
The reception also served as an informal platform to bringing closer the people to people relations between Malaysia and Ukraine and also among fellow Malaysians in Ukraine.
