LOGO OF VISIT MALAYSIA TRULY ASIA 2014 UNVIELS IN UKRAINE
The Embassy of Malaysia in Ukraine and Tourism Malaysia Moscow Office jointly organised a presentation ceremony to launch the new Visit Malaysia Truly Asia 2014 logo at the Kiev Expo Plaza in Ukraine on 18 April 2013. The ceremony was well attended by local Ukrainian media, travel trade representatives, tour operators, invited guests and general public who visited the biggest Ukrainian exhibition on medical tourism, the annual Healthcare Travel Expo, Spa/Wellness/Medical Exhibition.
After a brief speech by H.E. Mr. Chuah Teong Ban, Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine on the potentiality of Ukrainian tourist market and outlining the various planned special tourism events and celebrations in Malaysia for 2014, H.E. Ambassador Chuah together with Ms. Noridah Kamarudin, Director of Tourism Malaysia Moscow office unveiled a plaque with the new logo in the atmosphere filled with colourful confetti, Malaysian hospitality and a medley of cultural dances.To add festive ambience to the ceremony, the dance troupe was specially flown in to perform.
In addition, the guests were treated to some Malaysian delicacies such as karipap and kuehserimuka. At the end of the ceremony, all guests were presented with the BungaTelur, a specially decorated egg as a symbol of fertility, normally given to guests as gift during special occasions and weddings.
The launching of the Visit Malaysia Truly Asia 2014 logo was in line with the Malaysian Government announcement of designating the year 2014 as the fourth Visit Malaysia Year event with the tagline of “Celebrating Malaysia Truly Asia”.
