MALAYSIAN COMMUNITY AND THE EMBASSY STAFF TOURED UKRAINIAN PARLIAMENT Members of Malaysian community and staff of the Embassy of Malaysia led by H.E.Mr.Chuah Teong Ban, Ambassador of Malaysia were given a conducted tour of the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine on 15 March 2012. The tour was useful as it has enabled members of the delegation to understand better the history of the Ukrainian Parliament, its sitting procedures, functions of the various parliamentary working committees and the operation of Ukrainian legislative system. The delegation also had a first-hand experience to observe from the public gallery the actual proceedings, debates and the balloting process of a Bill tabled. H.E. Ambassador Chuah took the opportunity to share with the Ukrainian Parliament on information pertaining to Malaysian Parliament – legislative system and administration.
