On 15 March 2021, H.E. Raja Dato’ Reza Raja Zaib Shah, Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine met with Mr. Volodymyr Taftay, the new Chairman of SSAU at the latter's office. During the meeting, the Ambassador congratulated Mr. Taftay on his recent appointment and expressed his confidence that Mr. Taftay would reinvigorate the cooperation in the field of space technology between Malaysia and Ukraine. The Ambassador also briefed Mr. Taftay on several space-related matters including the Malaysian National Space Policy 2030 and Malaysia's draft bill on space industry. He also underscored Malaysia's aspiration to be Southeast Asia's leading space nation and looks forward to deepening cooperation with Ukraine in the space area particularly in utilizing the vast potential of New Space Economy (NSE).
