On 4 March 2021, H.E. Raja Dato’ Reza Raja Zaib Shah, Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine met with the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Dr. Anton Korynevych at the embassy. The meeting was held to take stock of the latest development concerning Crimean related issues, particularly on the International Crimean Summit that is scheduled on 23 August 2021 which is coordinated by Dr. Anton's office. During the meeting, the Ambassador also shared Malaysia's position on Crimea and he welcomed the invitation by Mr. Anton for the ASEAN Ambassadors in Ukraine to undertake an official visit to Kherson which would include visit to the checkpoints in Kalanchak and Chaplynka.
