NEW REGULATION ON QUARANTINE CHARGES APPLICABLE TO FOREIGN NATIONALS ENTERING MALAYSIA

 

Following the quarantine procedure imposed upon entering into Malaysia, foreign nationals including Malaysian Permanent Residents are subjected to bear the full cost of quarantine without any subsidy from the Government of Malaysia, amounting RM4, 700.00 effective from 24 September 2020.  The quarantine charges must be paid to the officials from the Ministry of Health at the entry point upon arrival in Malaysia.

Notwithstanding the above, Reciprocal Green Lane (RGL) and Periodic Commuting Arrangement (PCA) pass holders and individuals including diplomats who are allowed for home quarantine are exempted from the quarantine charges.  Details of the quarantine charges for foreign nationals as follows:
