On 21 April 2016, H.E. Datuk Ayauf Bachi presented copies of his Letters of Credence to Mr. Sergiy Kyslytsya, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Mr. Kyslytsya congratulated H.E. Datuk Ayauf Bachi on his appointment as the Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine and assured that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine will extend its support and cooperation in the fulfilment of H.E. Datuk Ayauf Bachi’s assignment.
Both sides discussed the prospects of enhancing cooperation in potential areas namely trade and defence. H.E. Datuk Ayauf Bachi also highlighted the cooperation between Malaysia and Ukraine at various multilateral fora, in particular the United Nations given that both countries are currently Non-Permanent Members of the United Nations Security Council.
The meeting concluded on a high note with both sides expressing optimism that bilateral relations between Malaysia and Ukraine will grow stronger for the mutual benefits of the peoples.
