On 11 December 2019, His Excellency Raja Dato’ Reza Raja Zaib Shah, Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine gave a talk to a group of undergraduates and professors at the Kyiv International University (KIU). The undergraduates who attended the talk entitled ‘Malaysia’s Foreign Policy’ were mostly those undergoing courses in international relations and international law. Present also at the talk were Mr. Khachatur V. Khachaturyan, President of the university and Ms. Iryna V. Timenko, Vice Rector of KIU. The talk allows the students to gain a unique opportunity to learn first-hand from the ambassador on his experiences as a diplomat.
Preceding the talk, the Malaysian ambassador discussed and exchanged views with Mr. Khachatur and Ms. Iryna on education matters including possible future cooperation in the field of higher education between Ukraine and Malaysia.
KIU is a private university established in 1994 and currently has approximately 5000 students. The university offers a wide range of courses across a variety of subject areas including international relations, international law, economics, psychology, medicine, nursing, dentistry, civil engineering, pharmacy, journalism and many more.
