H.E. Raja Dato’ Reza Raja Zaib Shah, Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine attended a reception on 21 October 2019 hosted by Mr. Dmytro Razumkov, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament of Ukraine) for Heads of Diplomatic Mission in Kyiv. It was also attended by the Parliament’s First Deputy Chairman, Mr. Ruslan Stefanchuk and Deputy Chairman Mrs. Olena Kondratiuk as well as Mr. Bohdan Yaremenko, Chairman of Verkhovna Rada’s Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation. The Malaysian ambassador among others underlined to Mr. Razumkov the importance for Verkhovna Rada to establish the Ukraine-Malaysia Parliamentary Friendship Group to enable Members of Parliament from both countries to interact and forge inter-parliamentary cooperation. At the reception, the Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament took the opportunity to mingle with the foreign diplomats. Mr. Razumkov was elected as Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament on 29 August 2019 during the opening of the 9th convocation of Verkhovna Rada.
