Study Tour by Embassy of Malaysia in Kyiv to TV Studios

The staff of Embassy of Malaysia in Kyiv, Ukraine undertook a successful and informative study tour on 11 May 2012 to ISTIL Studios, the largest private film production studio in Eastern Europe. The Malaysian delegation was led by H.E.Mr.ChuahTeong Ban, Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine accompanied by home-based staff, local staff and some members of Malaysian community in Kyiv.
They have the opportunity to see first-hand the preparatory work, logistical arrangement and mechanics behind the stage that involved intricate and yet delicate installations of various lightings, sound system, camerasstrategic positioning and even the stage props. The tour also included a detailed briefing on the various functions and personalities in the main production control room - commanding key role of the Director, editors, chief cameraman, sound technicians and the comprehensive switches and toggles in the various control panels.
This study tour was organised as part of the fulfilment towards the 7 days compulsory human resources training requirements per year for each employee under the Malaysian Civil Services’ terms of service. The technical knowledge learned would be useful in organising future Public Relations work involving media and studio shooting.
