The Embassy of Malaysia in Kyiv, Ukraine invited media friends to a dinner on 29 October 2015 to thank them for their continuous support and the close relations that have been forged over the years. 15 representatives from print and online media were present to enjoy a delicious spread while personally interacting with the host, H.E. Ambassador Chuah Teong Ban.
In his brief remarks to the media, H.E. Ambassador Chuah paid tribute to the Ukrainian media for the good coverage that the Embassy had received. He also attributed the increasing number of Ukrainian tourists to Malaysia to the growing exposure and positive image of Malaysia as portrayed by the local media. H.E. Ambassador Chuah recorded appreciation to the Ukrainian media that had casted Malaysia in good light amidst the MH 17 tragedy in 2014. The media representatives in turn, have expressed their delight in learning more about Malaysia through their engagement with the Embassy.
