The Malaysian Embassy in Kyiv continues to undertake outreach programme with local community regarding Malaysia. On 20 March 2014, a group of students and teachers from the Kyiv Potential High School of the Obolon district visited the Embassy for a briefing on the foreign policy of Malaysia. The students were preparing to represent Malaysia at the annual mock United Nations (UN) Model Conferences held in Kyiv organized and supported by the Kyiv Business Lyceum, the UN Representative offices and the Diplomatic Missions in Ukraine.
Ambassador of Malaysia, H.E. Chuah Teong Ban interacted and participated actively in the discussions covering Malaysian foreign policy and a wide-range of current international issues,such as the outer space arm race, global economic crisis, environmental concern, alternative energy using palm oil derived biodieseland domestic situation in Malaysia. The exchange of views has been beneficial to the Embassy and the students in getting to know the Malaysia.
