In conjunction with the Children Rights Day in Ukraine, the Embassy of Malaysia participated at the International Children Festival “Kids for Peace” on Thursday, 28 June 2015. Madam Haziyan Mohd Taha, Personal Assistant to Ambassador of Malaysia conducted a traditional dance workshop for the local Ukrainian children at the Festival. With her dancing credentials as the former dance troop artiste of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, the Ukrainian kids had a fun time learning the basic steps of the ever popular traditional dance of Joget.

During the festival, H.E. Chuah Teong Ban, Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine, was also invited to make short remarks at the concert organized by the children themselves. The key message of the Ambassador was to emphasize that the Children Rights Day serves to reiterate the importance of protecting their rights and privileges as well as to promote their talent development.
