A Malaysian production film titled “Goodbye Boys” was screened on 27 November 2014 for the Ukrainian students at the Academy of Advocacy of Ukraine. The event organized by the Embassy of Malaysia in Ukraine was to expose Ukrainian youths to the social and cultural fabrics of Malaysian way of life through the film. The film was subtitled in Ukrainian language.

A cocktail reception was held for all the guests after the event. Feedbacks and opinions were shared. The film has contributed significantly to their general understanding on the true sense of Malaysian way of life in a society fluxed with cultural and social complexities. The Ukrainian students also drew comparisons – similarities and differences – between their way of life, culture and antics with those in Malaysia as portrayed by the Malaysian youth in the movie.

Mrs. Tetiana Varfolomeeva, Rector of the Academy of Advocacy of Ukraine, requested that another round of screening to be held next year as a follow-up of the project.
