VISIT TO TERNOPIL STATE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY
The Ternopil State Medical University is one of the best medical private universities in Ukraine. Currently it consists of 3000 Ukrainian students and 708 foreign students from 46 countries such as India, China, Nigeria, Jamaica, Ghana, Cameroon, Syria and others whereby 47 out of them are from Malaysia. The university has collaboration with some universities in Europe and the United States.
Ambassador Dato’ Abdullah Sani Omar accompanied by Encik Ruzaimi Mohamad, the First Secretary of the Embassy had visited the university on 28 March 2009. During the visit, briefings were given by Head of each of the visited departments namely Histology, Morphology, Anatomy, Pathological Anatomy, Forensic departments, and Nursing School and Regional hospital.
The duration of study for a medical degree is six years with fee of USD 3,000 per year. For foreign students who are interested to pursue their studies at this university, they can apply to the university directly or through the agent.
