On 10 September 2020, H.E. Raja Dato’ Reza Raja Zaib Shah, Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine hosted a working lunch in honour of Mr. Yevhen Pikalov, Director General in charge of the Asia-Pacific region (Fourth Territorial Department) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. It was also attended by H.E. Ambassador Dr Yuddy Chrisnandi of Indonesia and H.E. Ambassador Nguyen Anh Tuan of Vietnam. During the lunch, they exchanged views on steps to strengthen cooperation between Ukraine and ASEAN including through trade and people to people contact. Ukraine’s proposals to set up an ASEAN Centre at one of the local universities and to establish ASEAN Committee in Kyiv were also discussed.
