Tbilisi the capital of Georgia received a royal guest from the north of Malaysia, HRH Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra ibni Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, the Crown Prince of Perlis who was on a working visit from 27-29 November 2019.
HRH Tuanku Syed Faizuddin in his capacity as the Chancellor of University Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) led a delegation of 40 people comprising of members of the student representative council and officials from UniMAP for the university’s annual overseas educational tour programme to Georgia.
HRH Tuanku Syed Faizuddin who was accompanied by his royal family members, YAM Sharifah Farah Adriana Jamalullail and YAM Syed Sirajuddin Areeb Putra Jamalullail had the opportunity to visit Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Georgia and later to Jumah Mosque inTbilisi to perform prayers and made some personal contribution to the mosque.
The Crown Prince also visited Tbilisi Public Service Hall, Georgia’s one stop centre accompanied by Mr. Jemal Inaishvili, the Honorary Consul of Malaysia in Tbilisi, Georgia. Besides that, HRH Tuanku Syed Faizuddin and delegation also undertook a visit to JSC Delta International and Georgian Innovations and Technologies Agency.
On 28 November 2019, the Crown Prince launched the Perlis Food Promotion held at Tbilisi Marriott Hotel. The promotion which aimed to expose Perlis to the people in Georgia served signature cuisines of Perlis including ‘laksa’, ‘ikan pekasam’, ‘masak lemak rebung’ and ‘pulut mempelam’.
