Never take peace for granted. That was the main message of the speech by H.E. Ambassador Chuah Teong Ban when he addressed the annual Young Diplomatic Assembly to celebrate the International Peace Day in Kremenchuk City. The youth participants consisted of students from various schools.
During the Assembly, the students shared their ideas on the promotion of peace and came up with activities to present their expressions of peace through musical performances namely singing, folklore dance and flash mob. Several students also presented T-shirts they have designed to visualise their interpretation of peace.
In his remarks, H.E. Ambassador Chuah Teong Ban called on the youths who would be the future leaders of Ukraine to play a role to contribute towards peace. Youth were encouraged to show their concern, empathy and sympathy to the people who have been affected by the conflict in eastern Ukraine by taking part in charity drive to ease the victims’ plight.
