On Friday, 21 June 2013, Consul General of Malaysia, Mr. Nekmat Ismail and wife, and other consular corps based in Los Angeles joined Councilmember of the City of Los Angeles 4th District, Mr. Tom LaBonge in an evening with a sunset hike to the top of Mount Hollywood in Griffith Park, California. The event marked the 16th year of celebration of the diversity of the City of Los Angeles with its Sister Cities around the globe.
