The Malaysian Islamic Foundation of North America (MIFNA) organized a luncheon get together to celebrate Aidil Adha. The event was held at the residence of Mr. Azham Ishak, Deputy Director of Tourism Malaysia Los Angeles and wife, Mrs. Haireaty Mohamad in Arcadia, California on Saturday, 19 October 2013
A cow and a goat were sacrificed for the qurban, which were slaughtered much earlier at the beginning of Aidil Adha. A part of the meat was cooked and served to all guests while the remaining portions were distributed to MIFNA’s members during the luncheon.
Consul General of Malaysia, Mr. Nekmat Ismail who is also the Patron of MIFNA and the Consulate General of Malaysia in Los Angeles officials’ and family members were also present during the get-together. It was a joyous and successful event filled with the spirit of ‘gotong-royong’ in preparing the special menu of Sup Daging and Gulai Lemak Cili Padi, and qurban meat distribution.
