An Evening with Malaysia Performing Arts was held at Crown Plaza Los Angeles Harbor Hotel in San Pedro, California on Monday, 22 July 2013. The event was organized by Tourism Malaysia Los Angeles in collaboration with the Malaysian team participating in the recently held 17th World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA).
The evening was filled with a video presentation on Malaysia Truly Asia followed by performances by the Malaysian WCOPA team. Dinner was then served at around 8.00 pm in time for the breaking of fast (iftar) by Muslim guests.
The Malaysian team performances were met with applauds from the guests, mostly local tour operators and travel agents. Consul General of Malaysia in Los Angeles, Mr. Nekmat Ismail and wife, together with the Consulate General of Malaysia Home-Based Staffs attended the evening.
