NOVEMBER 15TH, 2020
The Immigration Department of Malaysia has announced that starting October 8, 2020, applications for entry and exit permits by Malaysians and foreigners can be submitted through MyTravelPass (MTP) system, and no longer via email (pbh@imi.gov.my).
The MTP system can be accessed through this link. Applications submitted in full along with supporting documents will be processed within five (5) working days. Applicant will be notified via email whether the application is approved or otherwise. Any questions about the application through MTP can be asked here
Effective November 15, 2020, foreigners who are allowed and will travel to Malaysia are required to make payment online before leaving for Malaysia through the MySafeTravel System or MyQr Application by MyEG. Meanwhile, Malaysian citizens who will return home are encouraged to use the application for the payment of COVID-19 detection test charges and quarantine costs. All proof of payments must be submitted at the counter upon arrival at the international point of arrival, prior COVID-19 detection test and quarantine placement.
The process of issuing Travel Notices by Consulate General is still applicable and all travelers are required to submit a complete Letter of Undertaking and Indemnity (LoU).
