NEW GUIDELINES FOR TRAVELING TO MALAYSIA

The Government of Malaysia has announced that effective from 14 December 2020, all travelers are require to undergo COVID-19 screening test (RT-PCR COVID-19 Test) 3 days prior to departure to Malaysia. Travelers who are able to present their COVID-19 test result upon arrival at the Malaysian international point of entry are required to undergo mandatory quarantine at dedicated quarantine centers for a period of 7 days. Meanwhile, travelers who failed to present their COVID-19 test result are required to undergo mandatory quarantine at dedicated quarantine centers for a period of 10 days. The costs for COVID-19 test, quarantine and any other related cost will be borne by the travelers.
All travelers are advised to check with their respective airlines well in advance on any other COVID-19 requirements set by the airlines to avoid complications at the airport. All travelers are also required to download, register, and activate MySejahtera online application before entering Malaysia. The application can be downloaded through the URL link at: https://mysejahtera.malaysia.gov.my.
Effective November 15, 2020, foreigners who are allowed and will travel to Malaysia are required to make payment online before leaving for Malaysia through the MySafeTravel System or MyQr Application by MyEG. Meanwhile, Malaysian citizens who will return home are encouraged to use the application for the payment of COVID-19 detection test charges and quarantine costs. All proof of payments must be submitted at the counter upon arrival at the international point of arrival, prior COVID-19 detection test and quarantine placement.
The completed Letter of Undertaking (LoU) will be witnessed by the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) upon arrival at Malaysia. - Completed and signed Letter of Undertaking and Indemnity (LoU)
- Copy of passport
- Flight itinerary
