The Malaysian Association of Southern California (MASC) hosted a Chinese New Year Dinner Reception on Saturday, 4th February 2012 at the Seafood Place Restaurant, Garden Grove, Anaheim, California. The guest of honour for the night was Consul General of Malaysia Mr. Nekmat Ismail who came with his wife, Mrs. Ramlah Hamid. Guests were entertained with the traditional lion dance, Choi Sun Yeh Ang Pow giveaway and other performances throughout the evening. MASC members gather together frequently to socialize and celebrate festivals that are unique to both the Malaysian and American culture.
