The International Committee of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association (ICLAPA) enjoyed the Malaysian hospitality when Consul General of Malaysia in Los Angeles, Mr. Nekmat Ismail and wife hosted ICLAPA monthly general meeting and lunch on 21 March 2013 at their residence in San Marino, California. The meeting was later followed by musical performance by Du’o del Sol (guitarist Tom Farrel and violinist Javier Orman) specially brought by ICLAPA. Guests were then treated with Malaysian cuisine and delicacies prepared by Puan Ramlah Hamid, wife to Consul General.
Members of ICLAPA enjoyed classical music and affiliate their commitment in supporting the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra through their various fund raising projects. The spouses of the Heads of Mission of the Los Angeles Consular Corps are special members of ICLAPA to foster international goodwill and understanding through the universal voice of music.
